Pay Transparency

Preparing your reward for the EU Pay Transparency Directive in Benelux and France

Directive (EU) 2023/970 changes how employers describe, set and report pay. We support the compensation, benefits and rewards side, in Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and France.

What we do

Reward readiness assessment

A structured review of your pay structures and practices against the directive: pay-setting criteria, pay information for candidates and employees, and review processes.

Job architecture and gender-neutral grading

Clear job families, levels and grades, so that you can explain why roles are paid as they are.

Pay data and reporting readiness

We help you organise the compensation data you will need, so that reporting becomes a routine process rather than an emergency.

Pay communication and manager guidance

Practical guidelines, templates and training so that recruiters and managers handle pay conversations consistently.

How we work

  1. Short readiness check to see where your reward stands.
  2. Plan with priorities, owners and a realistic calendar.
  3. Implementation support: structures, data, processes and communication.
  4. Follow-up as national rules in each country are finalised.

Who it is for

Employers in Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and France, and international groups with entities there, that need a practical reward plan. We work alongside your legal advisers. This page is general information and not legal advice.

Frequently asked questions

What is the EU Pay Transparency Directive?

Directive (EU) 2023/970 is an EU law that aims to strengthen the principle of equal pay for equal work or work of equal value through greater pay transparency. Member States had to transpose it into national law by 7 June 2026.

Does it apply to my company in Benelux or France?

The directive applies to employers across the EU, and some obligations depend on the size of the organisation. Each country transposes it into its own national law, with its own timing, so the exact obligations in Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and France can differ.
